About Me

About Me

I’m Ravindra De Silva, an advocate for human rights who approaches my work with a deep sense of respect and reverence for the individuals and communities I serve. With over two decades of experience in the development field, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with inspiring individuals and organizations dedicated to promoting peace, democracy, and social justice. Guided by a genuine desire to make a meaningful impact, I’ve learned invaluable lessons from the communities I’ve worked alongside.

In 2013, I had the privilege of co-founding and chairing the AFRIEL Youth Network. This platform allowed me to collaborate with remarkable young people, whose voices and aspirations I am proud to amplify. Together, we strive to create a more inclusive and equitable society, cherishing the diversity that makes us stronger.

I approach my work with the belief that true change begins at the grassroots level. It is through empowering individuals and communities that we can foster a more just and compassionate society. My experiences have taught me the wisdom of listening, learning, and collaborating with diverse perspectives to find sustainable solutions.

I warmly invite you to join me on this transformative journey as we explore the intricacies of sociopolitical phenomena, shedding light on the challenges faced by communities. Together, let’s embrace the spirit of empathy, wisdom, and collective action as we pave the way toward a world where justice and equality flourish.
